With the recent release of the Jordan 12 Retro ‘Twist’ among other hyped releases, you might be wondering if you can expect a nice return from this shoe.

After all, it seems like only certain Jordan 1s take off in value these days. But still, there is money to be made in other sneakers if you know the right time to sell your pairs.

Jordan 12s can be hit-or-miss on the aftermarket. Even some 12s that released over a year ago aren’t really growing in value on the aftermarket like many thought they would. As for the Jordan 12 Retro Twist colorway, it resembles a few other 12s that have actually done really well on the resell market.

Here’s what you need to know.

Jordan 12 ‘Rising Sun’

At first glance, you might not be able to tell the difference between the Twist colorway and the Rising Sun colorway. Granted, the Rising Sun colorway is about a decade old at this point but even when they were new, sneakerheads went crazy for them.

The colorway of the Rising Sun is clean and simple. This is most likely why the sneaker performed well on the aftermarket. There isn’t too much going on.

For a pair of sneakers that isn’t an OG colorway, the Risin Sun Jordan 12s were high in demand and popularity during their time.

Jordan 12 ‘FIBA’

The Jordan 12 FIBA colorway is a bit more trackable since it was released only a few years ago. If you were into sneakers back then, then you know that this colorway sat on shelves so long that it went on clearance.

I know this because I was able to grab a pair for $125. I still have it. It’s deadstock sitting in my closet.

How much is it worth now? Around $400. Or at least I have it listed for around $400 and people keep offering me bids for $375. I’ll take one sooner or later and collect my profit.

If you look up the FIBA colorway, it looks extremely similar to the Twist colorway as well. The majority of the sneaker is plain white and it includes a hint of red.

Of course the FIBA colorway is a special edition sneaker that was created to honor the FIBA games but I don’t think that’s going to matter with the Twist colorway.
