If you’ve ever been inside of a Target or Walmart then you probably know exactly what a Funko Pop! looks like. These pops are profitable if you know how to buy and sell the right ones at the right time.

A Funko Pop! has a different kind of timeline than many other collectibles that you can buy and resell. They are made in much larger quantities, typically don’t have a retirement date that you can track, and most are not highly sought-after by collectors.

So, if there isn’t a lot of demand for the majority of Funko Pops, how can one possibly think it’s profitable to resell them?

Because there is a lot of demand for the Funko Pops that are actually valuable and desirable.

Most pops retail for around $9. Valuable pops have been known to commonly be sold on eBay for anywhere between $90 and $150. That’s anywhere between a 900% return and a nearly 1,600% return on your initial investment. Sometimes they sell for even more than $150.

That’s a return that you can’t quantify with many other collectibles you can resell for a profit, but it’s only if you get the right ones.

So, which are the right Funko Pops to make money from? Find out.

Chase Pops

In the land of Funko Pops! Chase pops are the ones every collector wants to go after. It’s because Chase pops are a variant of regular pops that you can regularly find in the store.

Sometimes the changes on Chase Pops are very small details. Other times, they are massive details changed on a Chase Funko Pop! that drivers collectors to really want them, no matter what the price is.

How do you know if you have a Chase pop?

For starters, all Chase pops have a sticker on them that says “Chase”. That’s the biggest giveaway, but maybe you took your Funko Pop! out of the box, which isn’t recommended if you plan on reselling it, you can research online what the Chase variant of your Funko Pop! is so you can be sure if you have one or not.

In general, check the sticker on the front of the Funko Pop! box to make sure it’s a Chase variant. Sometimes it says “Walmart Exclusive” or “Target Exclusive” and rarely, it says “Chase”.

Glow In The Dark Pops

Glow in the dark Funko pops perform extremely well on the aftermarket. It’s probably because of how they look and how uncommon it is for Funko Pop! to do a glow in the dark version.

If you can find a glow in the dark pop in a store, it’s best to buy first and ask questions later. Most stores you can buy Funko pops from offer returns if you keep the receipt, so always be aware of that.
