Sneaker Information

Union LA is one of the hottest sneaker stores in the country. Located in Los Angeles, Union LA has been able to attract some of the biggest names in the sneaker world. In addition to collaborating with Nike, Union LA has also worked with brands like Adidas, Vans, and New Balance.

The Nike Cortez is one of the most iconic sneakers of all time. Designed by Bill Bowerman, the Cortez was first released in 1972 and it quickly became a favorite among runners. The Cortez was designed to be a lightweight and comfortable shoe that could be used for long-distance running. Today, the Cortez is considered to be a style icon, and it’s still one of the most popular sneakers on the market.

The Union Cortez expresses a “raw-materials” styling. A different approach from previous releases such as the “Guava Ice” Jordan 4. The uppers showcase suede panels stitched on top of a striped design canvas. the UN/LA logo tab is stitched on the side of the lace eyelet. The soles contain bits of recycled materials that provide traction and style points.

A very creative shoe, but is it worth copping for resell? Find out below!

Resell Predictions

The “Lemon Frost” and “Smoke Grey” will be releasing August 10th for a retail price of $130 on Nike SNKRS. With the prices of the previous release (the Un-Cortez “Sesame”) currently going below retail in the secondary market, this release isn’t a drop we recommend going for if you’re looking to profit. With the market being bullish on Dunks and Air Forces 1, the Nike Cortez has had a hard time gaining hype with a lack of limited releases in recent time. If you decide to cop, expect a long hold on these pairs. Once the market shifts towards the Cortez, then the Un-Cortez should find some profitability.

As much as we want to see the Cortez make a comeback, the Union LA Cortez isn’t something that we feel will drive demand and profit. This release is definitely for personal.
