Is Reselling Yeezys Still Profitable?

Making money from Kanye West’s shoes is more difficult now than ever

Rewind a few years ago and Kanye West’s Adidas sneakers were selling like hotcakes. It was near impossible to obtain a pair of Yeezys for anything close to retail price.

Now, some Yeezys actually sell significantly below resell price on today’s market. Specifically, Yeezy Quantums that just came out a few months ago. Almost every color and every size is selling below retail price on aftermarket websites.

It’s even tough to tell if Yeezys will be good long-term holds in the future. Some pairs from a few years ago are selling for good money on the market but those same pairs sold well on the aftermarket when they were released a few years ago.

There still might be some profit left to be made from Yeezys, but you have to be smart about which models you decide to resell.

JuicedIO members know exactly which models of Yeezys to invest in. They’ve received access to information about the best models, when to buy them, where to buy them, how to buy them, and where to sell them.

On top of that, Juiced IO members receive access to other information about reselling sneakers and tons of other profitable items.

If you’re not a member of JuicedIO, here are a couple quick tips.

Look for retros

In 2020 and 2021, Adidas has started to retro the first pairs of Yeezys that it ever came out with. From ‘Pirate Blacks’ to ‘Waverunners’ and more in later 2021, these pairs will sell will in the short term and long term.

If you’re going to resell Yeezys, the retros will be the most profitable option for you. Always be on the lookout for retro Yeezys, especially the most popular models.

You can see what retro Yeezys are going for on the market at the time of writing this story. Most are selling for at least double, sometimes triple their retail price. The last time retro Yeezys were released, the aftermarket price dipped on that model but quickly returned close to where it was before.

Don’t sleep on retro Yeezys.

Don’t buy Quantums

Yeezy Quantums historically have not performed well. If you only have limited capital or you don’t have a ton of local buyers, going after Quantums will more than likely result in a loss.

Even if you hold them for a year, the amount of money you could potentially make won’t be worth tying your cash up for over a year.

Go after reflectives

Yeezy 380 reflective pairs and reflective pairs of Yeezys, in general, do well on the aftermarket. Keep in mind, these pairs used to do much better on the aftermarket than they do now, but they still do well.

It’s more difficult to get your hands on reflective pairs because they are limited in quantity and more people are after them, but they perform well on the aftermarket.

If you’re going to invest in a pair of Yeezy 380s then going after reflective pairs is going to be your best bet.
