Picking between selling platforms can make it difficult to find which work for you and which don’t.

Pre-orders on eBay are one of the best ways to sell sneakers at the time of writing this story. One major reason this is true is that selling sneakers on eBay right now is fee-free. Sellers don’t pay a single cent on the sneakers they’re selling and keep all of the profit.

As unbelievable as that sounds, I doubt it’ll last forever. In the meantime, you can take advantage of this free service by selling your pre-orders for sneakers and making more money.

Pre-orders come in handy because you don’t have to have the sneakers in your hand to make a pre-order sale on eBay. They can still be in the mail and you can list them and get paid for them.

How does this process work? Here’s the breakdown.

1) Order the sneakers you plan to sell

The first step is simple. Place an order for the pair of sneakers you plan on selling.

You can do this by winning on Nike SNKRS, using your bot to purchase sneakers on foot sites, or any other method you have of obtaining shoes.

2) Create your listing

Immediately after your order is confirmed (meaning you have a confirmation email), start creating your listing on eBay.

Since you don’t already have the sneakers in hand, you’ll be unable to snap a picture of them and upload it. No worries, a simple image search online for the pair of sneakers you selling will work just as well.

The policy for pre-orders on eBay is that sellers must list that the item is a pre-order in the title and adjust the handling time of the item.

If you want to adjust the handling time of an item for more than 3 days, which will be for the majority of your pre-orders, then you need to go into advanced listing settings and choose that. For normal sneaker orders, typically choosing 5 or 10 business days works perfectly.

After that, review your listing, make sure you check the shipping service you want to use to verify it’s correct, and list it.

3) Get paid

If you list your pre-order immediately after a sneaker drops on release day, you’ll find a lot of success in how quickly you can sell it for a lot of money.

That’s because the hours after released day are when the people who couldn’t win the sneaker online turn to the aftermarket for their pairs, i.e. you. They will be paying higher prices at that time than when other people who bought the shoes online get them in hand and sell them.

Once you make your sale, the funds will be deposited into your eBay account within a day or two and transferred to your bank account whenever your transfer schedule is. Boom, you just made however much money by selling a pair of sneakers you haven’t even touched yet.

4) Ship later

A few days or a week later when your sneakers come in, print a shipping label on them and send them out.

Congratulations, you just learned how to increase your eBay profit margins by selling pre-orders. Tons of resellers do this for every pair of sneakers they win online.
