Air Jordan 13 “Obsidian” Resale Prediction
This week we see the Air Jordan 13 release in the “Obsidian” colorway. The Air Jordan 13 Obsidian colorway retails at $190 and similar to other Jordan 13 colorways, resale predictions aren’t high.
Calculating the aftermarket value of the Air Jordan 13 Obsidian sneakers is a little difficult because StockX and GOAT prices are low at the time of writing this, which is the day before release day.
However, if you look at a few factors and a couple other sneakers that released in the past, you’ll find that you can get a close lock onto where the resale prices of this sneaker might go:
- Air Jordan 13 “Flint” aftermarket value
- Air Jordan 3 “UNC” aftermarket trend
- Holiday season is coming

Air Jordan 13 “Flint” aftermarket value
The Air Jordan 13 “Flint” colorway that we saw release in May of last year is sitting around $300-$350 in all sizes right now, a year and a few months after they were released.
While this colorway is an OG colorway, it’s actually quite similar to the Air Jordan 13 Obsidians. Both were rumored to brick on the aftermarket, but the flints steadily increased on sites like StockX for over an entire year and will continue to do so.
This might be an option for the Air Jordan 13 Obsidians as well. Many people are sleeping on the sneaker and it could be a huge mistake. It’s just a factor to keep in mind. It’s not definite that it will happen but it’s a possibility for sure for the Obsidians.
Air Jordan 3 “UNC” aftermarket trend
The UNC Air Jordan 3 is another sneaker with a similar colorway to the upcoming Air Jordan 13 Obsidians. It was slept on heavy before releasing and immediately skyrocketed on the aftermarket.
Once again, it’s not a guarantee that the Obsidian 13s will do the same thing as the UNC 3s, but it’s definitely a possibility.
Keep in mind that the navy blue, white, and baby blue color palette is often slept on by resellers for some weird resason. Especially because we rarely get blue Air Jordans. Don’t sleep on the Obsidian 13s if you slept on the UNC 3s for colorway reasons.
Holiday season is coming
The closer we get to Q4 and the holiday season, the higher we’ll see the aftermarket prices of sneakers in general. From Yeezys to Nike’s and Jordans, you can expect prices and sales to increase on platforms like StockX and eBay.
It’s best to keep this in mind when considering whether or not to buy and hold the Obsidian Jordan 13s for a few months. You might find that the aftermarket value of these sneakers will rise just as the holiday season starts to roll around. It could be timed up as a great flip that you’d only have to keep around for a few months before reselling.
